National Development and Reform Commission on the Robotics Industry: Prevent Blind Following and Rushed Entry

National Development and Reform Commission on Robotics Industry: Prevent Blind Imitation and Chaotic Rush

On the morning of 28 in 8, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) held a press conference for 8. Li Chao, Deputy Director of the NDRC's Policy Research Office and spokesperson for the commission, announced that the NDRC will focus on practical effectiveness and tangible results. By leveraging embodied AI training grounds and pilot application bases, the commission aims to...RobotIterate technology in real-world scenarios with 14.450, 0.03, and 0.21% to build application loops around genuine needs.

On one hand, coordinate the layout of embodied AI training grounds to strengthen the supply of key elements such as data, models, and standards. Regarding data, build a high-quality real-robot data collection system to improve the quality and scale of embodied AI data, addressing the "data hunger" in training. For models, leverage high-quality data and real-world scenarios to support embodied model companies in exploring diverse technical approaches. Encourage innovation in cutting-edge directions like vision-language-action models and world models, accelerating technology convergence and application deployment. On standards, promote the development of an embodied AI standardization framework to reduce cross-platform adaptation costs through unified standards and foster collaborative technology sharing. On the other hand, establish and effectively utilize national AI pilot bases for embodied AI applications to accelerate deployment and industrial scaling. In terms of application deployment, expand the embodied training scenario library. Encourage relevant industries and enterprises to open up real-world scenarios, supporting embodied AI companies in conducting reliability and safety testing to accelerate adoption in manufacturing, healthcare, consumer goods, services, public safety, and other domains. For industrial scaling, leverage pilot bases to bring together full-robot manufacturers, component suppliers, and scenario providers. Help SMEs overcome the "prototype-to-mass-production" verification threshold and cultivate a thriving ecosystem where enterprises of all types collaborate and grow together.

Li Chao emphasized that the robotics industry involves cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and new materials. Development must be tailored to local conditions and proceed in a healthy, orderly manner. By leveraging local resources and industrial strengths, we should identify our unique positioning and maximize our advantages, avoiding blind follow-the-trend behavior and ensuring sustainable, long-term growth for the sector.
